Unintentional Learning

This is "our tree". It's not in our yard or anything, but we have claimed it. It is just perfect for shading an afternoon picnic by the river. Last time we went to our tree, we came across an unplanned anatomy (and food chain) lesson...the full skeleton of a deer. I discovered that some learning is best done with Daddy, who let the kids pick up the bones! (I was quick to provide GermX after.)
My mom taught me to take advantage of all the teaching moments that pop up in day-to-day life. She's great at that. She can turn anything into a teaching opportunity...but that's the beauty of it. LIFE is one BIG teaching opportunity.
