I've been making (and wearing) all kinds of hair flowers lately. Today I made up a little tutorial...
Step 1: Cut petal shapes approximately an inch and half tall. Using a long tapered candle, burn the edges carefully. If you hold the petal so it curves, that will help get the desired effect.
Step 2: Pinching at the center, squirt a little hot glue at the bottom of the petal. Glue all petals into pairs.
Step 3: Glue the center of your pairs together.
Step 4: Hot glue a button at the center. (See final picture for example.)
Another way to make flowers, is to cut your petals into a bunch of concentric circles, as shown.
and burn the edges like in the last flower.
Hot glue the hair clips of your choice to the back.
If you are giving the flowers as a gift, here is an idea for packaging...
These flowers can be clipped anywhere. They are great on belts, lapels, headbands, or bags. Have fun!
I saw flowers like this on Etsy and wondered how the girl made them! They are awesome!
