You know what is great about having kids? Seeing their joys in the simple things...like feeling a new texture, tasting ice cream for the first time, or splashing in a puddle of milk.
Today I will try to find joy in the little things. Life can sure get messy, but there are many things to be grateful for.
Last week, I enjoyed watching Rachel play with the sand in front of Lizzie's school. It was amazing to watch her just let it run between her fingers and enjoy the sensation. Just amazing.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet but I've got to ask, how many gallons of milk do y'all go through a day?
ReplyDeleteHave you read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Anne Barrows? Probably the best book I've read in the last five years.
It does look like a crazy lot of milk, doesn't it? It was actually a glass of milk that spilled. Y was playing with the empty carton. Then, the kids drink fatty milk, and we drink skim. Anyway, we do drink a lot...about 5 or 6 gallons a week.
ReplyDeleteI have read The Guernsey L and PPP S. I loved it and highly recommend it. I learned about the book from Cindy Bohn's review here. http://homespunlight.blogspot.com/2009/04/guernsey-literary-and-potato-peel-pie.html
